Connections by Exact Media Network Inc., is a marketing channel used by companies to boost brand awareness, drive customer acquisition and increase brand loyalty.

Advertisers distribute promotional materials, like gift cards, by leveraging excess space in the parcels of ecommerce retailers.

Founded in 2013 by Ray Cao, Daniel Rodic and Elena Armstrong in Toronto, Canada, Connections is backed by Tony Hsieh (CEO of Zappos) as well as the investors behind companies like Etsy, Square, Kickstarter, Chango, Foursquare, Thrive Market and FanDuel.

Our Investors

Tony Hsieh, CEO of Zappos

In 1999, at the age of 24, Tony Hsieh (pronounced Shay) sold LinkExchange, the company he co-founded, to Microsoft for $265 million. Tony then joined Zappos an advisor and investor, and eventually became CEO. In November 2009, Zappos.com, Inc. was acquired by Amazon.com in a deal valued at $1.2 billion on the day of closing.

Through a post on Medium, a tweet, and a little serendipity, we were fortunate to connect with Will Young at Tony’s Fund, VTF Capital, and have been fortunate to draw on their expertise and network to grow Exact Connections.

Read the story of how we met Tony and VTF Capital in Business Insider.
